PTC Creo 10

Get ready to fly high with Creo 10! With the new improved functionalities of Creo 10, you will be working at a faster pace, and thus you can make your every day more productive.

Enhancements in Creo 10
These features are already there in PTC Creo. So, what are the features that make PTC Creo’s next version “Creo 10” different?

Let us find out about new enhancements in Creo 10!

Productivity and Usability :-

Creo 10 has improved its multibody design workflows which has introduced a new split/trim feature. The Stretch tool in Warp has been modified. The model tree in Creo 10 has been enhanced too to remove confusion between restructuring and reordering an assembly.

Composites’ Design :-

Creo 10 introduces a new dedicated composite design. It provides a wide range of functionalities to define individual ply sections and for creating Inner Mold Line (IML) quilts and resulting solid geometry too.

The design offers rich capabilities to apply splicing or darting operations to relieve stresses in the fabric. This design automatically creates complete and detailed plybook documentation of the final layup sequence.

Electrification Design :-

As electrification is becoming a key initiative for many industries, Creo 10 has improved design tools for cables and harness design to help you create and manage wiring harnesses. The Split or Merge Harness Tool allows the reuse and collaboration of sub-harness assemblies. Creo 10 has extended ECAD capabilities, which include the better handling of ECAD hole parameters and the import of paste masks too. This produces better design and control of PCB design.

Ergonomics Design :-

PTC Creo 10 has enhanced Visual Field features and Manikins. It has discovered enhancements that allow you to account for the range of movement and the uniqueness of users. The Visual Field features can now perform a reflection analysis by selecting an object. Also, in Creo 10, Manikins support multiple-reach envelopes.

Model-Based Definition Design :-

Creo 10 provides you with powerful model-based definition tools. These tools provide greater clarity with less effort. There are enhancements made in MBD that allow the user to relate a symbol or a surface finish to other annotations in the 3D model. GD&T Advisor in Creo 10 has been enhanced for improved semantic behavior of general profile tolerances and other usability improvements.

Simulation-Driven Design :-

PTC Creo 10 has introduced Creo Ansys Simulation Advanced, which is the latest addition to the Creo simulation offerings, which gives you options you might have never considered. It provides support for non-linear materials, support for combined thermal and structural analysis, and support for non-linear contact including new contact types such as frictional and rough, etc.

Expanded contact simulation options and improved result options for structures and fluids are available in Creo Simulation Live. Creo Flow Analysis has been enhanced with better animation and Creo Simulate has been enhanced with multibody support.

Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing :-

Creo 10 has improved additive and subtractive manufacturing so that you can deliver high-quality manufacturable products.

Additive Manufacturing:- The latest functionalities in PTC Creo 10 allow users to create several new beam-based lattice types such as rhombic, rhombic with diamond structure, dodecahedron, and elongated dodecahedron. Creo 10 supports simulation-based variable wall thickness and highly efficient l-graph-wrapped (IWP) lattice cells.

Subtractive Manufacturing:- In PTC Creo 10, High-Speed Milling supports barrel tools for both wall and floor, 5-axis finish, to reduce toolpath time and increase surface finish quality. Creo 10 has also added additional control for CUTCOM and clearance to Area turning.
